Wright Shut Down for Three More Weeks

While the Mets were hopeful that David would be cleared for baseball activities during his follow up examination yesterday after fracturing a bone in his back on April 19th.

Unfortunately, he will be shut down completely for another three weeks, making him ineligible to return to the team until sometime in July. Oddly enough, there is the strong possibility that not only will he return around the same time as also-injured first baseman Ike Davis (ankle), but that ace Johan Santana will be on the roster when he does.
