The David Wright Foundation was founded in 2005 by David Wright of the New York Mets. The sole purpose and mission of the foundation is to provide financial support and raise awareness for those in need and to financially support other charitable organizations. The foundation pays special attention to Multiple Sclerosis and children's causes, and maintains its focus on the New York City and Norfolk, Virginia metropolitan areas.

Mets win 7-6... in 12!!!

After a battle back in the ninth inning to tie, the Mets went on to win in twelve on the game-winning hit by Fernando Tatis.

David went 1-3, with his 17th double of the season and two walks, one in the twelfth. He would eventually be the tying run on Tatis's double, with Beltran as the winning run.

His average now sits at .280.
Johan plays stopper! Mets win 5-3.

Santana threw another win last night, as the Mets started to hit well.

Wright produced a double, a single, and a walk in his 2-4 effort.

Reyes blasted two home runs last night, yet the Mets still fell short of a victory.

David's average climbed back to .281 as he went 2-4, singling twice.

David's average dropped to .277 on the night after going 0-4 with a strikeout.

In a much needed victory for the Mets, Claudio Vargas shined, only allowing two runs on four hits in a seven-inning start.

D-Wright had an exceptionally productive night, going 1-3 with a HR in the second inning. Also walking once in the game, David stole a base and scored a run in the first inning off a Carlos Beltran double.

His average spikes slightly to .282 with a .516 slugging percentage.
Mets tumble in 13.

Despite ANOTHER home run by Carlos Delgado, the Mets continued their skid in this 5-6 loss.

Wright went 1-6, striking out an uncharacteristic three times in the game.
The Mets lose to the Braves 2-4... and lose Church.

While the team's performance has often been frightening the last few games, a scary moment came in the game-ending double play in which Ryan Church's head collided first with SS Yunel Escobar's knee and then the ground. He was aware of his surroundings after the incident, despite a gash on his forehead, and the extent of his injury is so far unknown.

David Wright's average took a slight hit after a 1-4 performance in which his lone hit was a single, now at .286.
Mets lose to the Braves... again.

The Mets lost to the Braves 4-11.

David's average jumped to .287 as he went 2-4 on the night, with two singles, an RBI, after singling in Jose Reyes in the third inning, and a run scored on Beltran's double in the eighth.

On a side note, I attended the Mets at the Movies event in Parsippany and that was pretty cool. The Pepsi Party Patrol made up for the loss.
Mets drop doubleheader to Braves

Game 1

In Tom Glavine's first game against his old team, he only gave up one earned run to Luis Castillo, a solo HR.

David Wright, on the other hand, went 1-4 with a single. His average after this game was .282.

Game 2

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Mets were held to just two runs. David's average took a slight drop to .281 on the game after a 1-4 outing with a single.
